New Delhi, India: The 22nd Indo\u2013US Economic Summit, held at Hotel Leela Palace, featured a powerful and insightful session on Higher Education titled <em>\u201cBridging Borders: Advancing Education and Skills for a Shared Global Future.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0The session brought together distinguished leaders from academia, government, and industry to deliberate on the future of global education, skill development, and Indo\u2013US collaboration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The session was chaired by Dr. W. Selvamurthy, who set the tone for an engaging dialogue on transforming education to meet global standards and emerging industry needs. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation and innovative learning models.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Key speakers included: Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), who highlighted the growing need for global exchange programs, international research collaborations, and cross-border curriculum integration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prof. Dr. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE, who spoke about AICTE\u2019s initiatives to upgrade technical education, foster entrepreneurship, and harmonize Indian higher education with international benchmarks. Mr. Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma, IAS, ACS Basic and Secondary Education, who underlined the importance of strengthening foundational education and building a seamless path to higher learning and skill-based training.\u00a0Dr. Lalit Bhasin, who shared his expertise on legal education, academic reforms, and policy frameworks needed to support India\u2019s academic globalisation efforts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Representing the media and creative sector, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Media and Entertainment Committee of IACC, addressed the gathering. He stated, \u201cEducation today must transcend boundaries. Media, communication, and creative arts play a key role in shaping global understanding.
